LOOKING FOR A CLUB TO PLAY FOR IN 2010?
Feb 06 2010 - jas
Look no further than the Irvine Strikers as a playing option for your child.
No other Club in Orange County can make the claim that it is a Nike Premier Club, an ECNL member and an inaugural member of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy! This is no accident nor is it a coincidence!
One only has to look at the rosters of the U.S. National teams or the top women's and men's college programs in the country to see where our alumni are playing. Be it a Hermann Award candidate, MLS Rookie/Defender of the Year Award winner or an Olympic and World Cup Qualifying team player, there is always a former Irvine Striker player in the mix.
Continuing this legacy of excellence, the recent college commitments made by our current senior team players gives further credence to the fact that the Irvine Strikers and it's training model continues to be well respected nationwide.
Some competing clubs like to boast of their tournament championships. At the Irvine Strikers, the development and growth of our players is paramount, where fundamental soccer is both prioritized and emphasized over a match result. This has always been and will remain the essence of our developmental philosophy. We believe our "grade" is ultimately determined by where our players "land" after they age out from youth soccer.
Now and thru our formal tryouts in February (Sunday - February 14th), our training sessions being held at Oak Creek Park are open to all interested players. We invite all candidates to attend as many sessions as they wish!
Please visit our tryout page to register and contact either the coach or administrator for the team you are interested in training with for training times and location. Each team's contact information is listed on the team page!
See you soon!

Since early December, Kosta has been training and competing with the ISC Development Academy in preparation for this trip, and is looking forward to the challenge of benchmarking himself while at RWE.

ISC U10 Girls Take CSL League Title!Dec 07 2009 - jas
The Girls U10 Strikers have claimed the first place spot in CSL league play, allowing only 1 defeat in 14 games. A lightning quick offense and a stalwart defense combined for dominating team play. The offense scored 3 or more goals on 5 occasions, and the defense allowed only 10 goals all season, providing 6 shutouts over the 14 games. This is the team’s second season under coach Alex Rico, and the cohesiveness and consistency of play was a key to the girl’s success.
Congratulations to our Strikers as they advance to SILVER in 2010!!!
The team is hosting open practices for spots on next years G11 Silver team starting in January. For more information please visit our teams dedicated page within this website.
